Service Description

FixMyRecord's public product is a free reputation audit. It uses passive Google/search discovery and clearly labeled court-record and mugshot coverage when those sources are available. People-search and data-broker coverage may be unavailable and is not guaranteed. The free preview does not run a model or provider sample. We cannot seal court records, promise mugshot removal, or remove news articles — only a court can seal a record, and source publishers control their pages. Automated removal and complaint filing are not part of any FixMyRecord product. One optional paid report path exists and is described below; it is held and not currently offered.

Age Eligibility

FixMyRecord is available only when the person being reviewed is 18 or older. Every audit requires that person's full legal name, exact date of birth, city, and state before a scan can start. Do not submit a request for a minor on any path, including Social & Privacy Cleanup or public-profile review.

Optional Next-Step Interest

The private free-audit result may ask what help you would want next and allow an optional note. Submitting that form records your choices on the same audit and permits FixMyRecord to use the email already attached to that audit to notify you if relevant help becomes available. It does not purchase a service, create a subscription, send an email immediately, start another scan, authorize an opt-out or removal, or promise that any future product will launch.

LLM Samples

The free preview does not run a model or provider sample. An invited paid report may include separately consented model observations as described below; that is not part of the free audit.

Reports generated by FixMyRecord are for informational purposes only and do not constitute legal advice. We recommend consulting a qualified attorney for legal matters related to criminal records, expungement, or defamation.

Not a Background Check

FixMyRecord is not a background check service. Reports generated by FixMyRecord should not be used for employment, housing, credit, insurance, or any other decisions about individuals. FixMyRecord is not a consumer reporting agency as defined by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA).

Accuracy Disclaimer

Results are based on publicly available information and may not be complete or accurate. Index absence is not proof that a source has no listing, and an index recurrence is not proof that a verified removal failed. We do not guarantee the removal of any content from third-party websites, search engines, or AI platforms. Results reflect the evidence available at the time of the scan and may change.

Optional Paid Report

FixMyRecord has one optional paid report path that is held and not currently offered (historically a $10 invited report). It is not offered through public checkout. It is a separate request with its own consents. When authorized, the report records a terminal outcome for each source in the broker/privacy set bound to that request and takes three closed-book API observations: an OpenAI API sample routed only through Microsoft Azure, a Google Gemini API sample routed only through Google Vertex AI, and an Anthropic Claude API sample routed only through Anthropic. Each request requires zero data retention and explicit prompt-training prohibition and fails instead of switching provider or model. The prompt contains the full name, primary city/state, and at most one explicitly customer- or owner-supplied prior city/state. Every association is unverified one point-in-time API output that may be wrong; it is not identity proof, a verified fact, a verified finding, or a clearance. Verify it against original sources. AI output never affects score or automated action. Dedicated court and mugshot source checks are a separate, optional consent available only for the Records & Public-Record Context path. If they are not requested, they are not checked and the report says so; that is never a clearance. What is delivered is one report at your private link, listing every attempted source with the outcome recorded for that attempt.

Every audit requires an exact adult date of birth for local identity sorting. An invited paid checkout may also accept up to five former or other names. These values help distinguish similarly named people only within results already found; they do not unlock more records, prove that a page is yours, verify an underlying claim, or establish current legal status. They are excluded from searches, source requests, model prompts, payment metadata, emails, and report output. The paid path encrypts the raw values for the exact request and checkout attempt and erases them before terminal report binding; only match, conflict, or unavailable outcomes may remain.

Every report — free and paid — is reviewed by a person at FixMyRecord before it is emailed. Nothing is delivered automatically. We aim for same-day review, but timing depends on the review queue and is not guaranteed; each report is emailed once, and a repeat send of the same report is refused.

The paid report does not promise clearance, complete discovery of every broker that may hold your data, removal of anything, or any particular outcome. Its contents are observations of what those sources returned at that moment — the “Not a Background Check” section above applies to it in full. A source that did not return a determinate answer is reported as unavailable, never as clear. Automated removals, complaint filing, and subscriptions are not part of this product. Stripe is our payment processor; we never receive or store your card number.

Refund Policy

The free reputation audit is free, and the optional next-step form creates no charge, so there is nothing to refund there.

For the optional paid report: when you start it, Stripe places a $10 authorization hold on your card. A hold is not a charge, but your bank will normally show it as pending. We capture that hold — turning it into an actual charge — only after each promised broker and model attempt has a recorded terminal outcome and the private report is bound for review. A terminal outcome can be unavailable; it does not mean every source answered or any identity was confirmed. If the report does not complete, the hold is released instead of captured and no money moves; depending on your bank, the pending line can take a few days to disappear. If a charge is taken in error, we refund it in full automatically. If your report is delivered but is not what these terms describe, email support@fixmyrecord.io and we will review it and refund where warranted. We do not offer refunds because the findings were not what you hoped to see — the report describes what public sources actually returned.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Resilient Capital LLC and FixMyRecord shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to the use of our services. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific report in question.

Governing Law

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Indiana, without regard to conflict of law principles.
